Sentinel Fuel Products manufacture their patented Oilgauard range of fuel management products for the mining, industrial, railway and telecoms companies globally. The business required a centralised accounts and stock control system. Business difficulties included not having one system to track inventory levels from manufacturing contractors, to track international distribution of their product range and to manage multiple currencies. The company also had a requirement for monthly management reporting and KPI analysis.

We analysed the companies’ current requirements and matched them with their longer term business objectives. This allowed us to source a system that would support their business model and their plans for the future. By using a scalable accounting and stock control system (Sage), we were able to customise the software to reflect the business’ needs. We installed and configured the software and provided on-site training for all users.

The use of the software provided the company with a centralised system with instant access to the information necessary to know their stock levels, multiple product types and multiple stock locations. Tracking multi-currency operations is now simple and a suite of weekly and monthly KPI and other management reports are in place and used to develop the business.
